Spotlight Kid have a new EP out entitled 'Crystal Dreams'. It contains three new tracks ('Take Some Time', 'Psalm 109' and 'There's a Reason Why') and was recorded at Purple Studios, Norwich. It's available via the website with bonus tracks, at all shows and in a select few records shops (that have any left).

Tis indeed good value. Worth a punt for any of you who haven't listened to Spotlight Kid before. It's different to any of the Six By Seven stuff. This is very ethereal shoegazey stuff (although there are a couple of moments on the album that hint back at Six By Seven). Three of the current members of Spotlight Kid are from the now defunct band Model Morning (http://www.myspace.com/modelmorning). It's closer sounding to their stuff I think.
Listening to the EP now. The track 'There's A Reason Why' is gorgeous (the first track they play on the radio session above). My favourite Spotlight Kid song so far I think.
